    Responsible for traveling to locations to provide instruction and coaching of ambassadors to ensure they gain the skills needed to perform the functions of their position. Instructing and coaching includes demonstration and feedback of essential functions, organizational standards, and position competencies. Documents and provides input on Paid trainees’ progress through weekly notes and regular assessments. Facilitates Onboarding and provides support for Leader Step 1 quarterly trainings.

    Essential Functions Statement(s):
    1. Supports Paid Trainees from start of program through completion. Duties include preparing onboarding checklists, coaching leadership skills, verifying job skills through station checklists, monitoring progress towards applying for jobs, getting trainee ready for graduation, and assisting with graduation day tasks.
    2. Meets with site managers prior to visiting with trainees to collaborate on training needs. Supports site management in the completion of Progress Notes to accurately reflect trainees’ progress Conducts formal assessments with manager to document progress of trainee.
    3. Provides Learning & Development team with regular feedback on the progress of the trainee with their training plan and completion of the program. Feedback includes review of progress notes and other paperwork for the paid trainees.
    4. Informs Learning & Development and/or Human Resources department of any sensitive information shared by ambassadors regarding their ability to meet expectations of the job.
    5. Facilitates on-boarding program. Acts as point of contact for onboarding, coordinating details with Human Resources to support new hire.
    6. Provides training and development support to ambassadors from different mission programs, as needed. Documents performance progress and communicates areas of opportunities.
    7. Follows up on completion of Level 1 Leader trainings and provides support as needed.
    8. Assists in the development of career pathway and operational training including the update and edits of checklists, eLearnings, and job aids. Gains proficiency in all operational procedures of departments involved in the paid training program.
    9. Supports organizational initiatives.
    10. Promotes, demonstrates, and role models the core values including professionalism, confidentially, interpersonal skills, and teamwork with all interactions with ambassadors, site management and other departments at all times. Provides excellent customer service to all ambassadors.
    11. Maintains a safe, organized, efficient and neat work area. Safeguards company property and abides by all safety procedures.
    12. Participates in department meetings as scheduled. Contributes to the goals of the Learning & Development Team to meet or exceed performance measures
    13. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned or directed.

     

    Qualifications:

    SKILLS & ABILITIES:


    Education:
    Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred

     


    Experience:
    Two to four years related experience

     


    Computer skills:
    Email, Microsoft Office Systems, Excel

     


    Certificates & Licenses:
    Must have car, valid CA Driver’s License, and a driving record acceptable to GISD’s insurance company.

     


    Amount of Travel Required:
    75%
