Description
- Proactively builds relationships with departments to effectively complete training and development needs assessment. Translates those needs into concrete options for learning solutions, ensuring the impact is measurable and linked to business goals.
- Applies formal instructional design methods (6Ds, Addie) to analyze, design, develop, deliver, support and measure effectiveness of training and development programs.
- Designs and develops training for multiple modalities, such as face-to-face, blended learning, and eLearning, and creates professional level performance support programs and materials that incorporate innovative learning methods and best practices in adult learning theory.
- Writes concise, creative and effective instruction and design documents such as instructor and participant materials and job aids, ensuring that final project deliverables are the highest quality and consistent with organization culture and branding.
- Designs, develops and executes measurement and evaluation strategies to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of learning solutions against achievement of business goals.
- Is subject matter expert on content creation in, and use of, the UKG Learning Management System.
- Collaborates and communicates effectively with team members, subject matter experts and all levels of leadership to continually create new, and update and enhance existing, training programs.
- Effectively facilitates in person and remote training and development activities for varied topics to all levels of the organization, demonstrating knowledge of adult learning principles and adjusting teaching style to meet the needs of students. Maintains professionalism, poise and clarity when challenged in the classroom.
- Works quickly and effectively on multiple projects, and organizes and prioritizes work to meet tight deadlines.
- Takes ownership of workload and is comfortable with accountability.
- Responds quickly and positively to ad hoc requests, feedback, scope changes, and a fluctuating and dynamic work environment.
- Keeps current with new training tools and methodologies, incorporating latest developments to enhance Learning and Development programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Adult Education, Human Resources Development, Instructional Design, or related field of study
- 5 years of experience in training and development and instructional design. Experience in the hospitality or other guest service industry preferred.
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work on several projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated success in needs assessment, instructional design and measurement, and training facilitation and classroom management skills
- Strong organization, evaluation, assessment, and decision-making skills
- Advanced interpersonal, listening, and oral and written communication skills
- A self-directed, positive, adaptable and flexible team player is essential
- Ability to work effectively individually and in a collaborative, team environment
- Knowledge and experience with eLearning authoring tools E.g. Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, required. Experience with UKG Pro Learning LMS preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint, Word and Excel required
