This role reports to our Technology Operations Learning and Change (TechOps L&C) team at HUB and directly reports to the Design Team Lead. The Learning and Development (L&D) Consultant will develop learning content across multiple modalities to support the various training curricula and learning deliverables. In this role, the L&D Consultant will be responsible for developing instructional materials, assessments, and collaborating with staff in the deployment planning process. It is expected that this consultant brings critical thinking skills to the engagement to suggest innovations in the development process.
Note: This position is remote and can be anywhere in the US.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop learning content – based on adult learning principles – that ensure effective and sustainable learning and performance solutions
- Engage in significant collaboration with Operations management and staff to gather and validate content
- Co-manage projects with other members of the TechOps L&C team (Change Management & Communications, Delivery)
- Positively represent the evolving model of learning diversity encapsulated in the Operations L&D strategy
- Develop an understanding of HUB’s business processes and model the HUB’s standard operations in all instructional materials
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in adult learning, instructional design, psychology or related area of study
- 3-5+ years’ experience as an instructional designer
- Experience designing and developing training for Operations and IT
- Provide instructional design work samples: WBT, vILT, ILT, JA
- Experience with creating customer driven projects
- Build and develop a strong relationship with SMEs, stakeholders, and sponsors
- Ability to influence and drive stakeholders and sponsors in decision making
- Strategic thinker and problem solver with ability to quickly assess and summarize information and effectively identify issues or risks and potential resolutions
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to multitask, working on several projects
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Expert proficiency Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of and experience with learning development tools such as Articulate 360 (elearning course), Camtasia, Adobe Captivate or other video editing software
- Graphics or photoimaging software a plus
- Learning management systems experience – LMS System

Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in NY and NJ, as well as the law in Colorado: The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 to and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
