This role works without supervision, conducts, and completes the analysis, design, development and implementation of learning solutions for commercial markets sales channels and teams within the GuideWell Enterprise. Must be able to analyze, design, develop and implement highly complex multi component interactive learning solutions.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Leads partnership and is a liaison with sales, market segment and other functional stakeholders; defines and designs effective instructional strategies and learner assessments for high complexity multi component learning solutions and curriculums. Able to complete work independently throughout the applicable development stage of the instructional design model being adopted. Understands the features and capabilities of various delivery modalities – including virtual delivery tools – for the design and development of instructionally sound Instructor Led Training or Virtual Instructor Led Training. (30%)
  • Leverages established instructional design methodologies and processes to support formal, informal, and multimedia design that include industry best practice recommendations which take into account design, scope, budget, implementation timeline and technology platforms. Able to complete work independently including the communication, implementation and adoption of methodologies and best practices by the learning organization. (20%)
  • Facilitates learning intervention through analysis of new or changed user tasks, through investigation of business processes, roles and responsibilities due to new product/program/process releases, upgrades or updates. Conducts task/impact analysis using standard department techniques (i.e., surveys, focus groups, interviews, or other methods) and provides performance improvement recommendations to learning management/leadership. Independently performs these tasks for highly complex performance improvement projects.
  • Leads the design and development of knowledge and skills-based assessments (written or simulated) that align with learning knowledge and performance-based objectives. Develop instructionally sound knowledge, skills and/or job performance-based assessments with minimal guidance.
  • Leads and/or supports the scoping, forecasting, planning and management of instructional design projects that encompass team members from all areas or roles within the learning organization (Design, Delivery, Learning Ops, Implementation, and Evaluation). Able to perform duties independently on instructional design projects of highly intermediate levels of complexity.
  • Partners with stakeholders, management, and peers to define and implement process improvements.
  • Coaches and mentors team members by evaluating the instructional soundness of the training design using post-training evaluations, knowledge/skills assessments and/or other data as inputs for instructional feedback

What You Must Have:

  • 5+ years related work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience and education in Instructional Systems Design; to include the ability to independently design and develop instructionally sound blended formal and informal learning solutions.
  • Related Bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience

Additional Required Qualifications:
Ability to independently design and develop instructionally sound blended formal and informal learning solutions specifically related to ILT and/or VILT
Experience with version 7 or higher of Adobe Captivate or other eLearning software

What We Would Prefer You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree Related field
  • 7+ years working with multiple industry-recognized instructional design models
  • Minimum of 2 years of directly related experience coaching or mentoring Instructional Designers and or leading project teams
  • Demonstrated ability to lead instructional design projects
  • Industry certifications such as ASTD, CPLP, Langevin, etc.
  • Knowledge of 508 compliance requirements and the ability to make design recommendations taking compliance guidelines into perspective
  • Understanding of Florida Blue lines of business, such as sales, service, retail, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and developing sales training
  • Knowledge and understanding of sales methodologies and sales processes and how to leverage that knowledge in the design and development of sales training solutions

General Physical Demands:
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Physical/Environmental Activities:
Must be able to occasionally travel to various locations for work (i.e., travel to attend in-person meetings, events, or conferences).
