The Junior Instructional Designer performs various tasks related to the design and development of training materials. In addition, the ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain dynamic eLearning training solutions and tools that enhance the capabilities and productivity of KnowBe4’s employees. Finally, the individual in this role will work closely with the Internal Training Officer and subject-matter experts to curate, design, and improve the existing training content.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with subject matter experts to gather and analyze their input as it relates to the development of new content and the modification of existing content
  • Conduct structured training needs assessments and provide detailed recommendations of such findings
  • Create fun, effective, and engaging content for employees on a global level
  • Design interactive training materials and assessments including presentations, walkthrough videos, scripts, practical exercises, knowledge checks, quizzes, and classroom activities
  • Organize and maintain materials, content, and project documentation

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in education or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Gmail and Google Docs
  • Experience with web browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)
  • Experience in curating training and development programs
  • Experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent grammar and written skills
  • Ability to edit and write effective copy, instructional text, and audio/video scripts
  • Ability to communicate concepts and processes using clear, simple language
  • Knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Passion for training
