We have an opportunity for an Instructional Systems Specialist to support our Training and Instructional Design teams in Jacksonville, FL.
In this position, you will be responsible for the supporting the planning, development, and analysis of learning-courseware design. The Instructional Design team shapes the creation and support of a wide variety of learning solutions, analyzes performance, job, and learning requirements, and ensures the delivery of a meaningful learning experience based on learner needs and learning objectives.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting front-end, performance, job, and task, analyses
- Documenting, reporting, and tracking analysis supporting training and research data
- Applying the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) model to design, develop, and implement learning and development programs, curriculums, and courseware
- Providing input into and creating the design and development of educational or training programs, including classroom, online, and blended offerings
- Developing measurable learning and performance objectives that address necessary skill or performance attainment and appropriate Bloom’s taxonomy level
- Identifying appropriate measurement criteria and instructional design strategies
- Providing input and guidance for the development of course content and high-quality, and visually attractive learning materials, instructional products, and content system requirements; examples include storyboards, scripts, interactive products, realistic scenarios to use in simulations, supporting material/media, and engaging learning activities.
- Ensuring training products and services are aligned with professional learning standards
- Ensuring proper functionality of courseware to support customer needs and contract requirements.
- Managing project timelines in coordination with team members, subject matter experts, and external vendors or consultants.
Requirements:
Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical communication, instructional design, adult education, or education required
- 3-5 years of experience in instructional systems analysis, design, and development preferred
- Experience in a regulated industry and/or working with US government agencies is a plus
- A strong understanding of adult learning principles, theory, strategies, instructional design, and front-end, task, and performance analysis methods, practices, and techniques.
- High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to communicate positively and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with both internal and external customers and stakeholders
- Experience with the instructional systems design (ISD) model in developing new and revised instructional materials desired
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with eLearning development tools such as Adobe Captivate a plus. Experience with HTML and video editing software a plus
Security Clearance Requirements:
- This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Active Secret clearance is preferred.
