SAIC is currently seeking a Senior Instructional Systems Designer with training and analysis experience, for a new Air Force program out of San Antonio, TX. This candidate will support courseware development, quality assurance/quality control checks of developed learning resources, coordinate testing of courseware with instructors and training cadre, and assist in overseeing virtual scenario development. This candidate will conduct instructional and training design in coordination with subject matter experts.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Prepares training curricula utilizing development applications to be delivered via computer based training, eLearning environments and learning management systems. Conducts training analysis, designs and develops training curricula, designs and develops multimedia/web storyboards and training, and measures and evaluates effectiveness of training.
  • Complete understanding and wide application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards of instructional design and implementation.
  • Full knowledge of industry practices such as Kirkpatrick levels, ADDIE, Rapid development, and adaptive learning.
  • Capable of working in a rapid-development environment with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Must be comfortable working independently or with a team within a military environment with the U.S. Air Force.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Experience working in a military environment a plus.
  • Knowledge of adult learning strategies.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite, and ISD-related design tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to use the ISD process to develop instructor led or multimedia based courseware in a deadline-driven setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct a front-end analysis, write objectives, and use various instructional methodologies in training design.
  • Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance

DESIRED SKILLS:
Experience with design tools such as Captivate and authoring tools such as Lectora or Articulate.
