Major/Essential Functions
The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Office of Interprofessional Education, is looking for an instructional designer to assist in the development of innovative, accessible academic programming to promote a learner-focused culture.
The ideal candidate will:
Advance the goals and efforts of the IPE Office as directed by the Associate Managing Director.
Contribute to the IPE curriculum by applying design thinking and analytics that enhance the learning process to meet student learning needs and learning objectives.
Work collaboratively to research, plan, develop, evaluate, and revise educational materials emphasizing best practices in instructional design and effective use of technology for teaching and learning, including accessible and inclusive design and multimedia principles
Develop supporting and interactive learning materials across a variety of modalities including in-person, blended, virtual, and eLearning delivery using video scripts, web scripts, instructor guides, participant guides, simulations, games, etc.
Design and produce training materials in a variety of formats using the latest industry tools.
Identify the criteria needed to assess learner performance and develops assessment and evaluation materials.
Assist with virtual deliveries acting as either a host, co-host, or member of the support team (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Airmeet, etc.).
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus one (1) year of related experience; or a combination of education and/or related experience to equal five (5) years.
Preferred Qualifications
A Master’s degree in instructional technology, education, information technology, curriculum design or related field.
At least 2 years of experience in instructional technology, education, information technology, information sciences, course design, curriculum design, e-learning, training or similar roll curriculum design in a related field.
Experience with online course management systems and tools.
Experience with graphic and multimedia authoring software and website design software.
Experience in a higher education environment.

Pay Statement
