    Summary of Position

    The Instructional Designer focuses on designing and developing dynamic, visually appealing learning solutions. From analysis to implementation and evaluation, the Instructional Designer will create elegant and valuable learning experiences to further our business strategy. Whether it’s a video, eLearning, live class, or job-aid, this position will consult with the business leaders to identify and develop learning opportunities to support team member development.

    Essential Job Requirements

    • Designs, develops, and maintains course materials including instructor manuals, participant guides, eLearning, video, train-the-trainer materials, job aids, evaluations, tests, etc.
    • Designs learning activities, assignments, and assessments
    • Collaborates with subject matter experts to develop course content
    • Analyzes, updates, and refines existing content
    • Conducts train-the-trainer sessions to empower others to successfully deliver, measure, and evaluate a training session
    • Keeps current on the best practices in instructional design
    • Writes scripts for video and audio content

    Required Education

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in instructional design, education, or related field preferred

    Required Experience

    • 2-5 years’ experience in instructional design, training development, training delivery, distance learning, or a related field
    • Demonstrated skills using the following technologies: Microsoft Office suite 2019 including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Experience developing and publishing eLearning using authoring tools (Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, etc.)

    Required Skills

    • Knowledge of instructional theory, including assessment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively in a friendly but professional voice.
    • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS), preferably Docebo
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous deadlines
