We are looking for a detail-oriented Mortgage Trainer/Instructional Designer to create engaging educational experiences for our team members looking to grow their careers in the mortgage industry. Your goal as a Mortgage Trainer/Instructional Designer will be to develop learning solutions, both eLearning/online and instructor-led, to support learning initiatives and help solve a wide range of learning needs.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about professional development, excited about technology, and excel at defining and guiding the development and delivery of training. You must be highly organized, proficient in time management, and possess excellent communication skills.

Compensation:

$60,000 – $80,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze training creation requests and determine the appropriate training solution, as applicable.
  • Create training design packages to review with the internal clients, which may include storyboards, outlines, or learner journey flows.
  • Develop training materials to suit a variety of training methods, which may include but are not limited to slide presentations, eLearning modules, facilitator and participant guides, activity instructions, job aids, post-training assessments/quizzes, and surveys.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop assets and adhere to Madison Mortgage Services Inc. branding guidelines.
  • Create assessments to determine knowledge retention, learner reactions, and business impact on changed behavior.
  • Deploy learner reaction surveys and facilitate pilot retrospective discussions.
  • Analyze training results and recommend enhancements to training.
  • Partner with training team members and business leaders to develop training that meets the needs of the company, teams, and learners.
  • Seek training evaluation and feedback to continuously improve training programs and material.
  • Additional responsibilities related to business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, education, human resources, or related field.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of proven experience in a training or content development role.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the financial industry is highly encouraged.
  • Impressive written and verbal communication and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Solid knowledge of the latest corporate training techniques.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Must be personable, positive, and able to collaborate with teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts (SMEs.)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Learning Management Systems (LMS), eLearning authoring tools, Articulate Storyline/Rise/Camtasia, and educational experience preferred.
