If you have experience in adult learning, instructional design, learning technology and multimedia development- this role is for you! We’re looking for an Instructional Designer for our Enterprise Risk Managment team to design and develop impactful learning content and experiences. This role gives the opportunity to partner across ERM on content for safety, transportation, insurance and loss control, risk, environmental compliance, and sustainability.
Highlights of your role
- Outlines the concept for a course or curriculum, defines the learning needs and objectives, content delivery vehicles, learner knowledge assessments, accompanying materials and complementary learning approaches
- Creates course content based on input from subject matter experts, existing material, in-depth interviews and other sources of information
- Creates a variety of material such as courses for eLearning, videos, presentations, participant guides and job aidesby partnering with subject matter experts, Action verb followed by what you would do in this role
- Establishes metrics and benchmarks to assess the effectiveness of training and provide insights to leadership
- Researches and responds to changing educational and technological trends to ensure courses remain functional and up-to-date
You’re a good fit if you have
- Strong project and time management skills
- Ability to professionally and effectively communicate with employees at all levels, outside consultants/vendors, professional training group members, etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design and Technology, or related field.
- Experience with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate, Captivate, etc.) and Learning Management Systems
- 2+ years’ experience in instructional design and/or curriculum and content development
- Basic knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, DOT and other regulatory bodies a plus
