We are currently seeking an Instructional Designer / eLearning Design Consultant to update training materials and create Enable Now recordings. This position requires a passionate self-starter who can juggle concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment, pay attention to detail, and contribute to conceptual discussions and decisions.

The ideal candidate will have eLearning, Web design and content development skills, thrive working in both a team environment as well as independently, and the ability to set timelines and estimate the work required to complete a task. Currently remote. The base rate range for this position is typically $40/hr to $50/hr with additional benefits available. However, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, including experience and location, and we will also consider candidates outside of this range as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Desire to create web-based training / e-Learning development, multimedia development and web page development
  • Plan, design, develop, organize creative storyboards for electronic learning modules (WBT, CBT eLearning)
  • Implement custom education programs that demonstrate knowledge of Adult Learning Principles and incorporate best practice delivery techniques
  • Conduct training needs assessments and develop course objectives and design plan based on assessment results
  • Interview subject-matter experts and clients to collect necessary information to design and develop eLearning education solutions
  • Conceptualize and develop evaluation measures including knowledge checks, course evaluations and tests
  • Participate in content review, revisions, and sign-off cycles
  • Provide application knowledge, methodology expertise and/or industry knowledge
  • Build and maintain client relationships by consistently delivering exceptional service and exceeding expectations
  • Status reporting, issue identification, problem solving
  • Familiarity with learning management systems, content authoring tools and e-Learning standards (AICC, SCORM, IMS)
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills; ability to communicate technical issues in terms of their business applications

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Skilled in Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Lectora, and/or other eLearning authoring tools
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Knowledge of Instructional Design Theory and Adult Learning Principles
  • Strong creative writing and storyboarding skills
  • Adobe Authorware, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Knowledge of streaming audio and video
