Potawatomi Training, LLC (a federal government contractor) is seeking a qualified Instructional Designer (ID) & Technologist ID who works with an integrated team with Instructional Designers, subject matter experts, and course and multimedia software developers to design cutting edge training solutions supporting classroom and online learning
environments. The ID will be expected to work within established project processes, collaborate with team members, and meet project deliverables by designing and presenting detailed storyboards throughout the instructional design and development process.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Exceptional knowledge in adult learning theory, learning needs assessment, curriculum design, and evaluation methodology.
- Exceptional knowledge in designing adult learning and instructional system design, writing content, and evaluation effectiveness of programs.
- Documented experiences in the use of Articulate Storyline eLearning software and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts, and other ISDs. Able to produce and present oral and written documents to all stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Capable of utilizing Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat at a minimum to prepare instructional design documents (design document, storyboards, test banks, audit documents etc.)
- Other assigned duties.
Education & Experience Requirements:
EDUCATION:
- M.S. of Education (specialization in Instructional Systems Design or Instructional Design Technology
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of five (5)+ years of paid experience developing eLearning content at novice through expert levels using interactive instructional multimedia
Knowledge Skills & Abilities Requirements:
- Ability to interface with Subject Matter Experts and Senior-level personnel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Must be able to work in a dynamic and flexible environment where priorities and deadlines may change.
- Firm understanding of the ADDIE system of design and evaluation.
- Demonstrable experience in designing, storyboarding, scenario driving practical exercises for DL learning products.
- Experience in developing eLearning assets and lessons – Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate/Storu independently.
- Includes graphics, animations, videos, interactive simulation gamification elements, assessments, storyboards, and other learning tools using a wide range of technologies.
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Experience in a Government contracting environment is a plus.
