The Instructional Designer plans, organizes, and develops best-in-class training curricula, materials, and programs to meet brand training needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with subject matter experts (SME) to develop learning programs and tools for stores, field team and support center personnel
  • Collaborates and works with operations, technical and field training teams to maintain core training and operational revisions
  • Support all Marketing initiatives as they relate to new product roll outs, LTO’s etc
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc) to be used in store and LMS
  • Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of courses and materials
  • Supports Field Training Team with consistent templates and materials
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders and manage course/curricula updates
  • Participate in meetings and conference calls with the Training Team and designated project initiatives
  • Demonstrates strong degree of operational knowledge and works well with cross functional teams to ensure content accuracy

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum High School or GED
  • 4 year degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2 Operations, training, marketing or operations support

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES

  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
  • Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System
  • Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
  • Significant experience designing for and facilitating instruction in person and in virtual formats
  • Extensive experience in at least one of the following eLearning development tools: Articulate Studio; Articulate Storyline; Adobe Captivate; Articulate Rise, Inking
