Falconwood, Inc. is a woman/veteran-owned business providing executive level consultants and programmatic support to Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology (IT) initiatives and programs. We provide expert consultation on a diverse range of IT subjects focusing on acquisition strategy, implementation activities, cloud computing, systems engineering, and cyber security policy and engineering.
**This position is contingent on Government funding and position authorization**
Remote work is acceptable within designated work locations, with the understanding that onsite presence may be required periodically.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop training course material using instructional design techniques in conjunction with adult learning theory.
- Develop assessments to support and analyze learning effectiveness.
- Design training and job aids for instructor-led and online delivery.
- Develop learning objectives to include audience, behavior, conditions, and standards.
- Design and create a variety of materials and apply fundamental research skills to instructional design projects.
Qualifications:
Here’s what you’ll bring to the team:
- Experience with the creative use of instructional design technologies
- Expertise in adult learning and all aspects of instructional design for various formats, including instructor-led, eLearning, mobile, and various types of performance support
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Create and update instructor-led and e-learning curriculums using software such as Microsoft Suite and Articulate 360
- Contribute to the development of training material associated with compliance release notes, new features, etc.
- Seek to continuously improve training curriculum to reflect ever-changing user personas and Navy requirements.
- Ability to communicate complex information and ideas verbally and in writing to support informal and formal forums, so others from diverse backgrounds and experience levels will understand.
- In cooperation with SMEs and team members, create training content that can be used and applied in the real business situations.
- Continually evaluate procedures to monitor and analyze course effectiveness and update curriculum as needed.
- Coordinate testing, feedback, and certificates of completion for eLearning and instructor led training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology or related Training Systems discipline.

10+ years professional experience in curriculum development.
- Expert-level knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
- 5+ years courseware development experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and similar tools (Articulate 360).
- Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills for the purpose of knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Track record of innovation in developing training solutions with a portfolio of projects for various audiences.
- Minimum active Secret DoD clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on Navy programs designing training for end users.
- Knowledge of shipyard maintenance and repair environment.
