    The Details:

    Location: Hybrid work Headquartered in Downtown Seattle, remote work possible from AZ, CA, CO, ID, FL, OR, TN, VA, WA

    Work Schedule: Our typical business hours are 8:30-5:00 PT Monday-Friday.

    Travel Requirements: Up to 10%

    Category: Full-Time, FLSA Exempt, Term Limited 1 Year, Union

    Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of the day.

     

    About the Position:

    Reporting to the Manager of Curriculum, the Instructional Designer I is responsible for designing engaging, high-value learning experiences that make a measurable difference in the lives of home care aides and the clients they support. The Instructional Designer will integrate best practices in instructional design, learning science, and educational technology to create online, instructor-led, and blended learning experiences that are scalable and highly impactful.

     

     

    You Will:

    • Design and develop for online, blended, mobile, video, and in-person learning needs;
    • Create course design documents, storyboards, voiceover and video scripts, facilitator guides, learner guides, presentation materials, assessment items and other instructional resources and materials;
    • Conduct courseware quality assurance reviews to ensure full functionality and completion in learning management systems; trouble-shoot any issues;
    • Collaborate with team members to successfully localize, print and implement courseware and learning materials;
    • Support standards and expectations for facilitators and mentors for train-the-trainer materials, onboarding experiences, and resource repositories;
    • Ensure consistent branding across learning deliverables utilizing style guides, templates, and standards;
    • Design and develop courseware and learning materials to meet the needs of the diverse population we serve, including limited English proficiency learners and aligning with our organization’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion standards;
    • Design and develop courseware and learning materials to meet the needs of limited English proficiency learners;
    • Work with team members to ensure designs meet learner needs and support success metrics;
    • Research and stay current in trends and best practices in instructional design principles, educational technology, adult education, blended learning and online learning;
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

     

     

    You Will Need to Have:

    • 1-3+ years’ experience designing learning experiences for adults;
    • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, or similar field, or equivalent experience;
    • Demonstrated experience working in Articulate 360 or a similar eLearning development tool;
    • Demonstrated experience in storyboarding;
    • Demonstrated experience using ADDIE and/or agile models;
    • Experience designing competency-based learning;
    • Experience working in learning management systems
    • Experience trouble-shooting online courseware;
    • Attention to detail;
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
    • Ability to work proactively and with minimal supervision;
    • Ability to design creative, engaging interactions for adult learners;
    • Ability to collaborate with other instructional designers and internal stakeholders;
    • Experience and comfort working in a fast-paced, high-change work environment.

     

     

    It Will Be Great if You Have:

    • Great understanding of competency-based learning; experience designing competency-based learning;
    • Experience in education or healthcare;
    • Master’s degree preferred;
    • Strong understanding of mobile learning and optimizing learning for mobile delivery;
    • Experience writing video scripts and designing multimedia is a plus;
    • Knowledge of ADA compliances in all learning environments.

    Salary Range:

    • $79,200.00 to $100,328.19
