Constructing an interactive course that teaches critical information requires a real passion for understanding the needs of your customer. We have an opportunity for an instructional designer who is committed to solving some of the toughest challenges in cybersecurity by crafting effective training.

    As a leader on our team, you’ll work with SMEs, instructors, and product designers to capture your customer’s training needs and advise them on the right learning solution to help them accomplish their mission. Putting the learner at the center of the training experience, your team will design synchronous, asynchronous material and performance support tools. You’ll manage efforts to build training material with multimedia specialists and instructors.

    You’ll encourage your team to use their technical skills and creativity to come up with new ideas to develop an engaging, interactive learning experience on screen or in a classroom. You’ll recommend cutting-edge multimedia technologies and strategies to build a successful learning environment. You know communication is key, so you’ll meet with SMEs, instructors, and product designers throughout the process to discuss learning material and incorporate feedback. To ensure your learning solution is hitting the mark, you’ll work with your team to collect and analyze results using evaluation methodologies. You’ll your expertise through leadership and mentoring. As a leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to build solutions to your customer’s learning needs. This is a chance to use your deep understanding of training methodologies to shape a creative learning experience that will engage students.     You Have:

    • 10+ years of experience with creating high-quality, interactive, and effective learning solutions for classroom, web-based, or webinar
    • Experience with assessing, designing, and conceptualizing training scenarios, approaches, objectives, plans, tool, aids, and curriculums
    • Experience with instructional strategy, instruction, or design methodologies for adult learners
    • Experience with technical editing, grammar, and writing
    • Experience with using Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or eLearning development software
    • Knowledge of identifying best approach training requirements, including hardware, software, simulations, course assessment and refreshment, assessment centers, oral examinations, interviews, computer assisted and adaptive testing, behavior-based assessment and performance, and team and unit assessment and measurement
    • Ability to develop and revise training courses and prepare training catalogs and course materials
    • Ability to train personnel by conducting formal classroom courses
    • Bachelor’s degree and 22+ years of experience as an Instructional Designer or Master’s degree and 10+ years of experience as a Instructional Designer
    • SAFe 5.1 Agilist Certification

     

    Nice If You Have:

    • Experience with eLearning technologies, including webinar platforms, LMS, or low-code, no-code platforms
    • Knowledge of evaluation models, including Kirkpatrick
    • Knowledge of how instructional strategy integrates with change management to support organization mission
    • Possession of excellent verbal and written and communication skills
    • Instructional Design, User Experience, or Human-Centered Design Certification

    Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
