    Travis Credit Union’s (TCU) Instructional Designer develops the people that drive the business to deliver results. This role provides talent development programs and services across the organization with a blended learning approach, resulting in continuously elevated member engagement and experience.

    Profile:

    • Designs and develops instructional learning solutions consistent with credit union policies, procedures, and strategies with a focus on TCU’s mission.
    • Collaborates cross functionally with diverse stakeholders focused on developing function-specific information to enterprise-wide learning solutions.
    • Applies advanced working knowledge of Instructional System Design (i.e., ADDIE, SAM, and/or Agile) and Adult Learning Theory.
    • Uses methods such as observations, assessments and business results to evaluate and measure program effectiveness and consistency.
    • Employs contemporary learning concepts to ensure effective solutions to meet development needs and expectations.
    • Acts as a consultant and business partner to ensure successful end-to-end project management to the business.
    • Provides individual and/or team coaching and mentoring to improve others’ abilities to set goals, take action and maximize strengths.
    • Based on experience, may be a mentor or act as a leader to other employees.

    Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Effective listening and critical thinking skills.
    • Sound understanding of financial industry products and services.
    • Advanced working knowledge of Instructional System Design (i.e., ADDIE, SAM, and/or Agile) and Adult Learning Theory.
    • Advanced working knowledge of training authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.).
    • Ability to work independently, set priorities, and to motivate self and others to achieve goals.
    • Detail-oriented and maintains confidentiality at all times.
    • Advanced in MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Planner and Teams).
    • Competent in Project Management processes and concepts.
    • Proficient in Talent Development platforms and systems (Cornerstone, Zoom, etc.)
    • Demonstrated ability to design and develop engaging and interactive eLearning and other multimedia deliverables, including developing complex interactive scenarios and gamification.
    • Technical writing skills using the Information Mapping methodology and software.
    • Proven abilities to evaluate training and analyze data.

    Reporting and Experience:

    • Reports directly to assigned department leadership.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Business Administration or related field; or equivalent related professional experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years of developing, facilitating or conducting on-the-job training programs.
    • Minimum of 2 years of retail banking or financial services experience preferred.
    • Instructional Design Certification from an accredited institution, and/or InfoMapping Certificate preferred.
    • Knowledge of industry learning standards such as SCORM, AICC and xAPI preferred.
    • CPTD Certification or related equivalent preferred.

    Compensation: Hourly starting range: $36.37 – $44.93 is commensurate with experience.
