In this remote role the Instructional Designer will support the design and development of technical certification training. This project will include the development of storyboards, eLearning materials, resources and assessments that are relevant and effective to the learners and defined learning objectives.

In this role you will:

• Work collaboratively with subject matter experts to assist them in the refinement of learning objectives and the development of various multimedia elements in support of implementing online learning.
• Provide instructional design support and guidance to subject matter experts in the creation of course content
• Work collaboratively with other development and production team members in the creation of online courses, and associated training materials.
• Assist in the creation of innovative solutions to challenges faced by the development team

You will have the opportunity to:

Design, develop, and deploy e-learning content based on program objectives.

Develop computer-based training modules in support of program initiatives, learning and training objectives and additional organizational needs.

Follow standard instructional design processes, including:

• Using adult learning theory to guide the design process
• Participating in the needs analysis, design and development of training modules
• Interacting with experts in planning and scoping requirements for curriculum
• Storyboarding, authoring, and development of e-learning content and blended learning solutions
• Leveraging interactive multimedia, video, micro learning, peer-to-peer learning, and scenario-based learning
• Participates in beta deliveries of new courses
• Developing course-specific job aids, interactivity, learning assessments and performance support materials
• Provides reporting to management on project progression and completion
• Review and test new and revised curriculum offerings from other team members, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement
• Evaluate and recommend new learning technologies to the organization
• Other duties as assigned.

About you

• Excellent written and verbal English skills for the purpose of documentation development, curriculum development, editing and communication.
• Organized, flexible and able to deal with various personalities.
• Demonstrated ability to work remotely and demonstrates ability to collaborate successfully with remote staff and faculty.
• 3-5 years’ experience crafting training experiences for technical subject matter, with tangible positive impacts to business results
• Consultative mindset with both strategic and tactical learning development expertise
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with agility to effectively manage multiple concurrent initiatives
• Highly organized and efficient, with a continuous improvement mindset

Requirements

• Advanced understanding of instructional design theory and techniques.
• 3-5 years’ experience in instructional design, using rapid prototyping development processes to create web-based, digital, virtual, mobile and instructor-led learning solutions
• 3-5 years’ experience using the following authoring tools for eLearning development: * Articulate Storyline * Articulate 360 and RISE
