Instructional Designer II job

dormakaba is seeking an Instructional Designer based remotely. The Instructional Designer plays and essential role in the development of employee, customer, influencer, and end-user knowledge of dormakaba. The ideal candidate is an experienced instructional designer who can create new or adapt existing curricula to support new product releases, the vitality of existing products as well as create material to advance the development of skills required in our B2B environment.

HIRING RANGE: Base Salary $90,000 – $120,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data), plus Short-Term Incentive compensation. WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Design end to end learning solutions that build the skills and knowledge of the intended audience within the security industry
• Create or adapt curricula to support product releases for employees, customers, and end-users
• Serve as Project Manager on multiple assignments with competing priorities
• Utilize data to effectively evaluate behavioral and business impact of the training program
• Work with Education Technology (EdTech) platforms to effectively design, deploy and measure training

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• Bachelor’s Degree in instructional technology, instructional design or a relevant field or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years’ work experience in instructional design or curriculum development
• Experience in LMS Administration such as Docebo, SuccessFactors, Canvas, Moodle etc., for course creation, user management and reporting
• Experience in development with eLearning tools such as Captivate, Articulate Studio/Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign/Acrobat DC/Premier Pro/Audition, and Software technology like HTML, JavaScript for learning portal design

WHAT WE PREFER

• Experience in the security and building products industry
• Relevant professional certifications, such as CPTD, ADDI etc.
• Bilingual in English and French, German, Spanish or Mandrin
