We are looking for a world-class Instructional Designer with a strong technical background within the Global Enablement Digital Learning team who can work independently and closely with content developers and subject matter experts to design and produce a wide variety of learning experiences.
The successful individual will work on complex projects across the entire product portfolio and work on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Networks with key contacts outside their area of expertise. The individual must be strong in instructional design and learning development principles with knowledge of SD-WAN, IP Routing, network security (IPsec / VPN / NAT / Wireless Security) and SASE (secure remote access, network security, zero trust network access).
Your Impact
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of instructional methodologies, and industry design standards to design and develop interactive learning for a variety of delivery methods
- Develop training content in a fast-paced environment using Articulate, Evolve, PowerPoint, and Camtasia
- Apply learning principles to develop interactive and animated learning using graphic visuals
- Develop knowledge and skill assessments, reinforcing learning concepts, through audio, video, role plays, games, etc.
- Develop marketing collateral such as datasheets and promotional videos to promote online learning
- Create course content that engages the audience, increases retention, transfers skill/knowledge, and drives sustained behavior change
- Review and test new and revised curriculum offerings from other team members, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement; contributes to a new curriculum or program ideas
- Create and manage methods, standards, and procedures on new assignments and coordinate activities of other personnel
- Regularly collaborate cross-functionally across course developers, instructional designers, product and project manager
- At least 3-5 years of experience in technical curriculum development:
- Demonstrated success developing curriculum (including course structural planning), and can easily craft and correlate instructional materials and assessments to multiple learning objectives
- instructional design experience and excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
- Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology.
- Ability to demonstrate lesson and curriculum planning skills.
- Must possess a combination of expertise in Articulate, Evolve, Captivate, Camtasia, Adobe Suite, G Suite with demonstrated work samples showing eLearning course development.
- Experience creating and managing the production workflow of interactive eLearning and video modules with at least one Learning Management System.
- Detail-oriented, energetic, and flexible while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Strong organization and communication skills, work ethic, follow through and team player.
- Ability to work onsite in Santa Clara, interacting with SMEs, Content Developers, Instructors, and Instructional Designers.
- Knowledge of networking, next-generation firewall, SASE solution, SD-WAN, and Autonomous Digital Experience Management
- BA/BS/MA/MS degree in Instructional Design or related fields.
