As an Instructional Design Specialist II at Sierra Space, you will use your skills and expertise to develop and expand our in-house learning programs and practices including identifying learning needs, creating training that up-skills our team members for more responsible roles and increases effectiveness of training across the enterprise. You will create eLearning modules, instructor-led training, and training reference materials. Join our experienced team of learning professionals and expand your experience in adult learning theory, eLearning methods, and Subject Matter Expert (SME) management. Help us refine the design of adult learning using Instructional Design best practices.
***To best support this work, the position will be onsite in our Broomfield, CO offices, and is not hybrid or remote. ***

Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, Instructional or graphic design, or related field of study and typically three (3+) or more years of related work experience; higher-level degree may substitute for experience.

Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.

Extensive knowledge of Instructional Design and Adult Learning principles.

Experience working with high level stakeholders and SMEs.

Experience managing training projects from analysis to evaluation.

Strong working knowledge of e-learning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Captivate).

Experience managing training projects from analysis to evaluation.

Basic experience with LMSs (Workday, Cornerstone, etc.

Experience developing hands on technical training.

Experience with audio and/or video production.

Experience creating compliance or process training in a highly regulated environment.

Learning or Instructional Design Certificate (e.g. Adult Learning Certificate, ATD Instructional Design Certificate, etc.).

Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps.

Occasionally repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity.

Frequently requires vision abilities to include close, distance, depth perception, and telling the difference between colors.

Occasionally requires hearing abilities to include discerning different tones and volumes.

Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.

Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.).

Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials.

Rarely exposed to loud noises.

Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
