    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Instructional Design Lead is responsible for the development, creation, coordination, deployment and assessment of learning material in support of enterprise projects and company-wide learning. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Learning & Development as part of the wider Talent & Development team and provides comprehensive instructional design, curriculum development, and learning administration services across several projects and initiatives. The position must have a strong background in instructional design, particularly digital learning modalities. The position provides key capabilities to the Learning & Development team as it supports learning program penetration across the organization.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

    • In partnership with Senior Manager Learning & Development, project leads, and functional teams develops and deliver learning strategies in support of enterprise programs.
    • Manage the end-to-end project management of instructional design processes (e.g., audience identification, course development, deployment strategies, demand planning, course playbooks, audit support, etc.) in support of initiatives. This may include managing external vendors/contractors to support design and development of larger enterprise-wide initiatives.
    • Guide the project and functional team subject matter experts to design impactful and innovative learning programs aligned to business or project needs.
    • Collaborate to define meaningful learning KPIs and drive associated data collection, analysis and recommendations to drive relevant training metrics reports and develop improvement plans and program recommendations where needed.
    • Identify learning objectives, assess learners, influence performance outcomes, and evaluate strategies to deliver instruction including consulting with program owners and subject matter experts to identify performance gaps and learning objectives.
    • In partnership with Learning & Development, ensure consistency of application of training across the business and maintain alignment with corporate learning strategy.
    • Partner with wider Learning & Development team to further corporate learning strategy to include increased user penetration of digital learning.
    • Develop effective relationships with the functional leads and HR teams, specifically in relation to enterprise projects and wider people strategy.
    • Develop learning content for deployment across virtual, digital, and live environments.
    • Serve as the primary administrator for the company’s Learning Management System (SuccessFactors Learning). This includes troubleshooting, administrator training, and routine reporting requirements.
    • Other duties as assigned

    WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • Experience as instructional designer or curriculum developer preferred
    • 5-7 years professional experience. Training or manufacturing experience preferred.
    • Experience with learning development software (Articulate, Adobe Captivate, etc.) preferred
    • Familiarity with SCORM or AICC, online learning, learning technology, instructional, graphic, and/or web design or development skills preferred
    • Expectation of travel 10% of time
    • Instructional Design certification preferred.

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • BA/BS degree in communication, education, related field or relevant work experience

    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently
    • Strong relationship building and excellent written/verbal communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • LMS (e.g., SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, or Thinking Cap) administration experience including eLearning publishing and learning assessments
    • Demonstrated proficiency of learning theory and methodology
    • Ability to collaborate with distributed, virtual team members to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate deliverables.
