Summary & Role Information
The Litmos instructional Design & Delivery Manager will oversee the design, development, launch, and assessment of educational courses, face-to-face workshops, digital resources and other curriculum for our customer, internal employee and sales and partner audiences. Working with subject matter experts in each of these areas this position will define, scope and manage the processes and relationships necessary to create and deliver exceptional learning experiences.
This role will also require the chosen candidate to build and/or deliver training personally and be willing to serve in a “working Manager” capacity, willing to get their hands a little dirty.
Core Expectations and Tasks
- Oversees the development and delivery of learning experiences and resources using partners, contractors, part and full-time staff
- Manages and coordinates multiple learning projects across the Litmos landscape
- Personally develops and delivers courses, curriculum, face-to-face training and other resources for all Litmos audiences (Customer, Employee, Sales/partners) as needed
- Oversees/develops instructor’s manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools
- Collaborates with subject experts to develop course content
- Builds trust and collaborative working relationships with other departments and external businesses in order to achieve objectives
- Assesses, updates, and refines existing online content
- Keeps current on best practices in instructional design
- Writes scripts for video and audio content
Experience (Role Requirements)
- Strong design skills and experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and other industry standard design tools
- Experience with video production / editing process & tools a plus
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently at maximum productivity without constant oversight
- Ability to be creative, guts to take chances, and commitment to represent the Litmos brand and personality in everything you create
- Learning Management System (LMS) experience is a must
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong facility with teamwork and an ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Ability to serve as a trusted educator for customers and internal staff alike
- Strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills
- Degree in Instructional Design or similar discipline
- 5+ year’s experience in instructional design field
- Experience leading a team and managing multiple deployments/projects at once
