We have an exciting opportunity for an Instructional Design and Training Specialist to join our team. The Instructional Design and Training Specialist is responsible for designing and implementing learning tools to meet organization initiatives. This position will partner with various areas of the business to assess their needs and create training and communications that are engaging to employees using Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Articulate, and other creative tools.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal department and subject matter experts to understand business processes and develop learning programs aligned with business needs.
  • Design learning solutions that support onboarding, safety, leadership development, customer service, and other core curriculums with effective tools that drive knowledge and engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to support associates with continuous learning and skills for career development.
  • Create companywide communications and assist in administering the organization’s communication platform.
  • Manage administrative duties for Learning Management System (LMS) including designing curriculum structures, assigning courses, reporting, and tracking training history.
  • Manage training completion and related reports to ensure all required trainings and reoccurring requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner.
  • Review existing curriculum and course materials, working with appropriate SMEs and team members to obtain new or updated information.
  • Research innovative learning tools and remain up-to-date on developments within the industry.
  • Build rapport and provide great customer service to individuals across the organization.
  • Maintain training content and software vendor relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3-5 years of experience in corporate learning and development or a well-established background in creative design.
  • Strong proficiency with creative or eLearning tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign and Photoshop), Captivate, Articulate, Canva, or Vyond
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience administering a LMS strongly preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand business processes and implement L&D strategies to support business goals.
  • Must be proactive in identifying solutions, results oriented, and take pride in the ownership of projects.
  • Successful track record of managing multiple priorities and project timelines.
  • Strong customer service orientation with outstanding communications skills.
  • Ability to successfully build rapport and collaborate with others throughout the organization
