The Praxis eLearning Program Specialist helps the department maintain its leadership role in the HPN network by improving the quality of education offered to employees. This will involve the use of graphic and multimedia skills. The primary responsibility is to support the creation, maintaining, and continuous improvement of professional development courses for use throughout the organization. This is accomplished by developing, designing, formatting, proofing, editing, adhering to established project standards/protocols, and integrating various media into existing course content. Other responsibilities may include developing and maintaining intra-department communications. This can include design and layout, publication coordination, publication distribution, and assisting with various content development. It is expected that this position will develop proficiency in providing on-line education practices.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Program Manager to maintain project timeframes, goals, and coherency.
- Convert materials to a format appropriate for online learning.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts to develop course content, following the Education Program philosophy of good, better, and best.
- Develops designs and refines content based upon client needs and program goals.
- Ensures that there is alignment between course objectives, content, and assessments.
- Ensures correct and effective spelling, grammar, and flow of course information.
- Ensures compliance and timeliness of client courses development and deployment.
- Assists content experts and department in course development and improves content flow as appropriate.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive understanding of current eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate).
- Researches, recommends, understands, and utilizes additional software or online tools including audio, visual, or animation tools to complement or enhance eLearning course content.
- Develops evaluation tools to assess user engagement and course efficacy.
- Adheres to and maintain protocols and standards for course objectives, assessment questions, content presentation, grammar, fonts, color pallets, and other components involved in eLearning course development.
- Continuously improve skills and understanding of online eLearning concepts by using internal and external resources and integrate knowledge to enhance course content.
- Other projects and duties as assigned by the Manger or Director.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER OF PREFERENCE
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience in graphic design and/or multimedia design.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects)
- Experience with Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software with specific proficiency in PowerPoint.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
