San Bernardino County is recruiting for eLearning Developers who will create, manage, and deliver online education in various media formats. eLearning Developers provide advanced level online content creation utilizing various curricula-building computer software applications. Vacancies currently exist in the Performance, Education, and Resource Centers (PERC). The resulting eligible list may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Background Investigation: Applicants must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, credit check, and/or medical exam, prior to appointment.
Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required. Employees will be required to make provisions for transportation. Mileage reimbursement is available. A valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced and maintained for the individual providing the transportation.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Education: Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college coursework in English, education, business/public administration, communication, organizational development, computer science, information technology, criminal justice, natural science, social/behavioral science, or related field of study. A list of completed college coursework or copy of legible transcripts MUST be provided if the applicant does not possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the qualifying fields listed above.
Experience: One (1) year of full-time experience utilizing eLearning Development systems, including but not limited to:
  • Articulate 360 systems:
    • Storyline 360
    • Studio 360
    • Replay 360
    • Rise 360
    • Review 360
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Adobe Express (previously Adobe Spark)
  • Vimeo or similar video creator program
  • Canva

Note: Qualifying degree or coursework must have been completed at a college or university accredited by an accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied by an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.

 

Desired Qualifications

 

The ideal candidate will have at least two (2) years of professional level experience developing curriculum and conducting in-person and eLearning trainings. Skilled experience developing strategies, tools, and methodologies for distant learning-based courses which may include computer, video, multimedia, webcast, and/or web-based instruction. An established portfolio is highly desirable.
