Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and dynamic eLearning Developer who is preoccupied with big questions: Where do we go from here? What are the limits of innovation and exploration? How do we continue to evolve as a species?

    SUMMARY: Our team is looking for detail-conscious eLearning Developer who will primarily be responsible for creating company-wide and department-specific eLearning lessons. This position is in Human Resources and requires the ability to build working relationships with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across the company to determine content needs. This role will utilize the ADDIE learning model, adult learning theories, and SCORM files (Articulate 360 / Rise) daily. The position will deal with regulatory and compliance topics as well more as niche aerospace content. Creation of training materials in various media will also be expected. Some classroom facilitation responsibilities are also expected. There will be interacting with the company Learning Management System (LMS) assisting users and building out curricula. Axiom is a dynamic growing company, and some degree of growing pains are to be expected so flexibility of projects while adhering to solid instructional strategies is key.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Create content with a focus on adult learning, interactive learning activities, and assessments.
    • Utilize instructional design methodologies, learning strategies and technology to support the development of curriculum content assuring alignment of educational objectives to content.
    • Create, manage, and deliver engaging training utilizing innovative learning solutions, staying up to date with new technology, techniques, and instructional design trends.
    • Adhere to project plans and deadlines in alignment with the overall learning strategy.
    • Create storyboards for e-Learning courses to include scripts, scenarios, visuals, and interactive elements to engage and enhance the learner experience.
    • Work with various business groups, interview SMEs, trainers, internal departments, and external business partners to solicit their expertise and input to ensure accuracy, standardization, and compatibility of all training materials and content.
    • Effectively prioritize and manage multiple overlapping projects in an often-changing and fast-paced environment.
    • Work with various stakeholders to implement workforce development.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Digital Communications, Learning and Development, or equivalent experience
    • At least three years’ experience Training facilitation, instructional design, and course development in a corporate environment.
    • Demonstrates proficiency with common business, instructional design, eLearning, and Learning Management System (LMS) (i.e., Litmos, Articulate 360, Rise or equivalent, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite).
    • The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and collaborative skills, a solid understanding of how people learn, the science of adult learning, a keen eye for design and aesthetics, and the creative and technical skills to produce engaging training products.
    • The ideal candidate will need to be comfortable working in a group as well as independently with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Prior experience with compliance topics is a plus.
    • Experience using the full cycle of ADDIE model for training content development purposes.
    • eLearning development experience including knowledge assessments that may include video, audio, infographics, and other engaging elements for adult learning
    • Strong understanding of evaluation methods to reach Kirkpatrick’s evaluation levels.
    • Demonstrated expertise in eLearning instructional design, using industry best practices as evidenced by work samples.

    Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

    Requirements

    • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
    • Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
    • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

    Physical Requirements

    • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
