eLearning Course Developer job

Horizon Health and Wellness is seeking an eLearning Course Developer to create and support online learning courseware for a non-profit healthcare organization with multiple sites and programs in central and southern Arizona. This position will plan, design, and/or develop engaging and effective eLearning courseware for Horizon target audiences (primary care, behavioral health, and support staff), with input from subject matter experts and existing course content, using a variety of tools and learning methodologies, in support of the company’s programs and objectives.

** This is a project-based/independent contractor position, primarily remote, which may require periodic visits to Apache Junction corporate headquarters.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of and ability to apply instructional design, adult learning principles, and educational technology to effectively achieve organizational learning and performance objectives.
• Ability to obtain and organize information from relevant materials, subject matter experts, and other organization resources to design and develop effective, engaging, and interactive eLearning courseware.
• Ability to incorporate user feedback and organizational assessment data into design improvements.
• Ability to produce eLearning courseware within Horizon’s operational and technical environments.
• Excellent consulting, project management, and organizational/planning skills.
• Proficiency with eLearning authoring and multimedia development tools/programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to provide examples of related work product.
