JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
The E-Learning Developer will partner with stakeholders in the creation of learning solutions and strategies for continuing medical education (CME). This role will incorporate sound principles of instructional design and eLearning development to deliver high quality learning products. The E-Learning Developer will also provide administrative and operational support to the TeamHealth Institute accreditation program. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for managing multiple learning projects concurrently and representing TeamHealth Institute on project teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the day-to-day operations of TeamHealth Institute Continuing Medical Education (CME) program.
- Develops new continuing education courses and programs.
- Works with project team to design and develop XAPI and SCORM compliant e-learning.
- Partners with content experts to select learning strategies, media, and evaluation methods that engage the user and promote meaningful learning.
- Integrates emerging instructional methods and technologies into e-learning
- Apply creative design to the discipline of instructional design with an emphasis on multimedia
- Assist in the administration of our Learning Management System
- Assist with content management and administration of our internal portal Zenith.
- Coordinates our lifesaving program (ACLS, PALS, and BLS).
- Assists the CME coordinator to ensure all necessary requirements (paperwork, kickoff calls, and documentation) are met.
- Assist in the generation of monthly reports and submission of required information to accrediting bodies.
- Completes administrative tasks (updating project plans, status reports, maintenance of learning solutions, pulling reports, etc.).
- Effectively manages multiple projects to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience with emphasis in technology, instructional design, or multimedia design.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the instructional technology, e-learning, blended learning solution in corporate environments
- Knowledge of and demonstrated use of adult learning theories
- Full knowledge of Instructional Design processes (i.e. ADDIE) and strategies for engaging learners
- Highly proficient with eLearning authoring and multimedia tools (Articulate or equivalent; Camtasia or equivalent)
- Knowledge of Instructional Design methodology and adult learning theory
- Proficient in visual and multimedia design principles
- Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
- Ability to stay abreast of new trends and tools in content and learning development.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Project management skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Partnering skills with ability to influence, negotiate, and facilitate
- Self-directed with ability to manage own time and tasks
