    THE GIG // The Director of Training and Development (DTD) will be responsible for the training and development of our team members. The DTD will provide the training, content, processes, practices, and tools needed to support a diverse group of teams. The ideal candidate is an expert who possesses a proven track record in the restaurant industry along with the dedication to create a caring culture for our teams. This candidate will provide clear pathways of growth, craft hands-on training systems and implement and manage a learning management system.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Create a learning culture throughout the company.
    • Work alongside the HR Department to support onboarding needs for policy compliance.
    • Create, implement, and execute innovative learning and development courses and programs for team members.
    • Build and manage a certified trainer program, managers in training (MIT) and ongoing training content.
    • Develop and participate in training programs designed for new restaurant openings (NRO), provide post opening evaluation and refine assets as needed to inform the next scheduled NRO.
    • Lead and manage job-task analysis, design, content development, delivery (eLearning and instructor-led).
    • Manage documentation, communication, enablement of any applicable learning processes
    • Collaborate with the Leadership Team at all levels.
    • Support the Human Resources department to incorporate company needs for leadership development, safety training, succession planning, performance reviews, recruiting, and retention strategies.
    • Evaluate, implement, and maintain the company learning management system (LMS) based on HomeState requirements.
    • Measure the effectiveness of the learning programs through set milestones, evaluation strategies and certification programs.

    Requirements

    • Five years of learning and development or enablement training experience
    • Two years experience in the restaurant industry
    • Ability to develop integrated training solutions from inception to assessment
    • Experience procuring and implementing a company wide learning management system
    • Knowledge of learning and development technologies
    • Proven project manager, planner and organizer who can handle several tasks simultaneously
    • Knowledge of innovative, current adult learning techniques and methodologies and the application of those to learning in the restaurant industry
    • Understanding of latest trends in learning and development
    • Proven ability to understand an organization’s current/desired state and actions to close gaps
    • Executive presence, excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Be able to work in a standing or sitting position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours excluding breaks), lift items up to 15lbs.
    • Must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with weekend availability and with occasional sixth day required.
    • Must be able to to travel between HomeState locations as needed via personal transportation method and ability to track mileage for reimbursement.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $95,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year

    Experience:

    • Director Level Training in Hospitality: 3 years (Required)
