As the Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for working with internal stakeholders to create, curate, design, develop and deliver learning solutions, instructional design training materials, and resources for supply chain support services employees across the HCA enterprise.
What you will do in this role (**Note: This position is an on-site position)
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to assess learning needs, objectives and outcomes to produce quality digital learning assets
- Design and develop training course materials using instructional design techniques in conjunction with adult learning theory
- Translate complex operational processes and practices into structured learning assets
- Develop assessments to support and analyze learning needs and effectiveness
- Design training and job aids for instructor-led and online delivery
- Manage new hire onboarding roadmaps, assignments, and completion reports
- Publish new learning content/courses to online university and LMS
- Develop learning objectives to include audience, behavior, conditions, and standards for learning deliverables
- Align business needs and performance goals to instructional design projects
- Develop and implement multiple learning solutions in virtual and in-person formats, with operational activities, scenarios, learning assets and assessments to reinforce intended on-the-job application
- Convert learning assets (documents/courses) from English to Spanish
- Evaluate and improve learning content pathways to ensure employee ease of access, knowledge transfer, and performance improvement
What experience and education is needed for this role:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 3 years working in a professional business environment
- Experience using Instructional Design software such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Audacity, Prezi and Learning Management Systems (i.e. HealthStream)
- Published examples of bi-lingual learning content (digital or print)
- ATD Instructional Design Certification preferred but not required
- Bi-lingual written and verbal communication skills (Spanish preferred)
- Expertise in adult learning and all aspects of instructional design for various formats, including instructor-led, eLearning, mobile, and performance support applications
- Technical writing skills to produce user guides, manuals, and instructional documents
