HyperionDev, the South African tech education firm, has secured a significant investment of R95 million (approximately $5 million) in a new funding round. This latest investment brings the company’s total growth capital to R595 million ($31.1 million). The identity of the investors remains undisclosed, but the startup revealed the participation of 23 backers from various countries.
Founded in 2012, HyperionDev offers specialized, mentored coding bootcamps, both online and on-site, at its campuses. These programmes equip students with job-ready tech skills for careers in the technology sector. The EdTech company takes immense pride in its achievements. It boasts a transformative impact on over 2,000 graduates through its educational offerings. These alumni have not only secured tech jobs across a diverse range of sectors and businesses but have also made a global impact. They are now key players in the fintech sector, working with renowned firms like Chip and Amazon
Speaking on the fundraising, Founder & CEO of HyperionDev, Riaz Moola, said:

He also hinted at upcoming collaborations in North America, France, and Spain. These partnerships, according to Moola, have not only strengthened HyperionDev’s position as a leader in global tech education but also paved the way for future growth and expansion.
With this financing round, the company plans to expand into emerging markets and strengthen its position in South Africa and the UK. The funding will further develop HyperionDev’s scholarship programmes and educational offerings, such as the HyperionDev Academy.
