HRTech Startup Paycor Acquires People-Development Platform Verb

Paycor HCM, a leading provider of human capital management (HCM) software, has recently announced the acquisition of Verb, an Austin-based people development platform incorporating behavioural science and proprietary microlearning content to create best-in-class workplace training. With this acquisition, Paycor will support organizations with their top priority of empowering leaders to develop winning teams.

Paycor provides a human capital management (HCM) platform that modernizes every aspect of people management, from recruiting, onboarding, and payroll to career development and retention. Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, the startup delivers deep product functionality, standard integrations, and certified expertise in sales and service to meet the needs of industries and organizations. It currently serves more than 30,000 customers.

Speaking about the acquisition, Chief Strategy Officer of Paycor, Swati Garodia, said:

As part of Paths, Verb will enable Paycor’s customers to deliver personalized and effective employee learning experiences at scale.

Founded by Suzi Sosa, Verb is built to upskill and develop managers and their frontline teams quickly. The firm has a library of more than 100 hours of proprietary, bite-sized soft skills content that addresses various talent development needs. The platform enables HR and Learning & Development leaders to choose between pre-built, ready-to-launch learning programs or to develop a custom learning program, such as manager training, leadership development, employee onboarding and DE&I training.
