Hiring Startup WorkerHero Raises $4.36M in Series A Round

-

WorkerHero, a Munich-based recruiting technology startup, has raised $4.36 million (€4 million) in a Series A round led by Mediahuis. Existing investors, including 10x Founders and Bonsai Partners, also participated in the funding round. With this investment round, the company plans to expand and enter new industries with an updated platform. It also intends to focus on international hiring to support companies in recruiting skilled workers abroad.

WorkerHero was co-founded by Richard Fischer, Steven Miller, Michael König, and Emanuel Wernitz in 2021 to address the shortage of skilled workers. The firm leverages AI-driven sourcing and matching to connect companies with high-quality candidates, focusing on comprehensive pre-qualification to ensure higher success rates. With over 70,000 registered users, WorkerHero operates in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, providing AI-based solutions to match companies with skilled talent efficiently and effectively.

Highlighting the company’s vision, Richard Fischer, CEO and Co-Founder of WorkerHero, said:

We want to solve the labour shortage in Europe by helping companies find skilled workers within the specific country and from abroad. With the support of Mediahuis and our existing investors, we are well-positioned to realise our vision.

The firm aims to position itself as the leading recruiting platform in Europe. It seeks to make recruiting as efficient and effective as possible, helping to solve the global skilled worker shortage and supporting economic growth through better job placements.

Patrick de Wachter, Director of Corporate Development at Mediahuis, commented on WorkerHero’s performance:

WorkerHero’s outstanding performance demonstrates the effectiveness of focusing on well-defined blue-collar sectors, delivering better-matched candidates much faster than broader market players. WorkerHero’s unwavering commitment to user experience and quality delivery has driven impressive growth since its inception. We are excited to support WorkerHero’s future growth and look forward to their continued success!

WorkerHero also plans to upgrade to a new platform version, which will further simplify the recruiting and job-search process for users. This updated version will offer an improved design and enhanced features, including advanced AI tools.
