The Moodle Users Association‘s January-June 2023 Project Development Cycle is about to reach its final closure. The voting for the final projects will be starting soon so get ready to cast your votes for your favorite projects.

During the last 5-6 months, the MUA community members have proposed top 10 project proposal for the currently project development cycle. During the preliminary round of voting the project titled: “Show information for teachers about submissions on the course main page in the Boost theme” emerged out as the top contender. The proposed project has received more than 26,435 votes from the MUA community members.

After the preliminary round of voting the MUA committee finalized the project requirements in detail. The requirements were then reviewed with Moodle HQ team and estimates for development were obtained.

Now during the final voting round the MUA committee will post the project details meeting the Moodle HQ criteria and are within MUA’s resource constraints. The top most voted project in the final round of voting will be taken ahead for implementation. It will be included in upcoming Moodle LMS version release.

So, if you are already a member of Moodle users Association then you should get ready to cast your vote for the January-June 2023 project development cycle final voting cycle. In case you missed the top projects based on the preliminary round of voting, here are the details:

  1. Show information for teachers about submissions on the course main page in the Boost theme – 26435
  2. Add the Ordering question type (qtype_ordering) into Moodle core – 21309
  3. Allow session stores to fully manage the session ==> never touch mdl_sessions table! – 8761
  4. Improve availability of activities and resources overview pages in Boost theme – 6620
  5. Allow Activity Completion Settings for Topics/Weeks – 2294
