The second annual Open Texas Conference will be held on September 21 – 23, 2022 completely online and free for everyone to attend. The conference will have participants from faculty, administrators, librarians, and other open education practitioners and advocates in Texas and beyond.

The theme for the Open Texas 2022 is “The Labor of Open Education” and will reflect on the work, creativity, art, and science of open education. The Texas Digital Library (TDL), Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), and the Digital Higher Education Consortium of Texas (DigiTex) jointly organize the annual Open Texas conference.

The Open Texas conference will have Jasmine Roberts-Crews and Dr. Karen Cangialosi as keynote speakers. Jasmine Roberts-Crews is a lecturer in the School of Communication at the Ohio State University while Dr. Karen Cangialosi is the Program Director of the Regional Leaders of Open Education (RLOE), an OE Global/CCCOER network designed to build OE leadership in post-secondary institutions across North America.
