CLAMP Project releases new versions based on Moodle 4.1

-

CLAMP – the Collaborative Liberal Arts Moodle Project has announced the release of new LAE Versions based on the latest Moodle LTS Version i.e. Moodle 4.1. The new version is the first release based on the Moodle 4.1. This contains updates to all the contributed modules to ensure compatibility with Moodle 4.1

Moodle 4.1.1+LAE23.0.1 consists of the core Moodle 4.1.1 release plus a number of CLAMP-developed features and bug fixes.

The following core features are included:

  • Anonymous Forums – A completely new version of the Anonymous Forums option in Moodle. This version introduces a new “Anonymous User” who is attached to forum posts, allowing faculty to back up and restore a forum without losing anonymity. This feature is disabled by default.
  • Per-course resource display options – You may choose a default resource display option at the course level now instead of at the site-level.

Along with Moodle 4.1 based LAE versions the CLAMP Project is also maintaining previous versions for maintenance releases. The currently supported LAE versions are based on Moodle 4.0,Moodle 3.11 and Moodle 3.9

The Collaborative Liberal Arts Moodle Project is a group of colleges and universities who collaborate to develop and support Moodle, with an eye toward the issues unique to a liberal arts environment.
