Check out the top voted projects for Moodle users Association Project cycle

Moodle Users Association -MUA is the community arm to contribute new features in Moodle LMS. There are many exciting features contributed by the Moodle users Association in Moodle core in last few releases. The January-June 2023 project development cycle is currently ongoing in MUA.

The preliminary round of voting for the project proposals is ended and now the top voted project will be taken further up for development. Here are the top 1voted projects in Moodle users Association’s January-June 2023 project development cycle:

  1. Show information for teachers about submissions on the course main page in the Boost theme – 26435
  2. Add the Ordering question type (qtype_ordering) into Moodle core – 21309
  3. Improve Moodle Reporting – 17200
  4. Allow session stores to fully manage the session ==> never touch mdl_sessions table! – 8761
  5. Replace message polling with websockets – 7084
  6. Improve availability of activities and resources overview pages in Boost theme – 6620
  7. Allow Activity Completion Settings for Topics/Weeks – 2294
  8. Course and Activity Catalog – 2151
  9. Bulk Download Workshop Submissions – 1856
  10. Badge criterias as subplugins – 820

The top voted project “Show information for teachers about submissions on the course main page in the Boost theme” will be taken up for finalising the requirements and further development with Moodle HQ. The project will provide the information about how many students have submitted an assignment, how many are expected to do so and whether there is anything the teacher needs to grade. Also, when there are drafts uploaded for an Assignment. The information should be a link leading to the submissions overview page.
