    SGL Carbon is seeking a Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator. This individual will serve a key role in supporting the administration, training content and compliance of all SGL Carbon’s learning and development programs and internal training records. You will be instrumental in supporting our SuccessFactors LMS community. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of learning records and successful maintenance of SGL Carbon’s LMS. In this role, you will serve as champion of the LMS, be responsible for administration of system functionality and oversight of the system’s front-end operations.     Position Summary: The LMS Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Learning Management System (LMS). The LMS Administrator works closely with the HR and other Business departments ensuring regulatory compliance, job specific, and other training is scheduled, delivered, and tracked. This role requires a high attention to detail and constant collaboration with our internal partners.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Performs administration tasks including SuccessFactors Learning system configuration, update testing, curriculum management and access management), including the managing day-to-day activity, maintaining the 12-month calendar of course offerings, and organizing the use of technology for all internally facilitated programs.
    • Manage end-to-end learning administration through the LMS, including scheduling, bulk learner enrollment, course creation, course assignment, reporting, program and curriculum management, and customizing system notifications.
    • Provide technical support, including troubleshooting issues, responding to internal customer inquiries, system maintenance and integrity.
    • Maintain, update, and socialize the LMS content database and catalog.
    • Map out, assign, and monitor annual training plans for compliance training and other business training requirements.
    • Track and follow-up with all applicable team members’ training to ensure completion within required timeframes.
    • Generate and maintain all ad-hoc, scheduled, native, and custom reports with analysis on key training metrics meant to optimize learning.
    • Work with stakeholders to determine data reporting needs.
    • Conduct training for users of the LMS to include hands on demonstrations as required.
    • Make recommendations based on experience and best practices to improve current processes.
    • Help determine roadmap for LMS functionality and relevant data solutions.
    • Market available training to team members and provide necessary information about sessions.
    • Maintain schedule of all team members currently in training and to be trained.
    • Maintain matrix of team member skillsets and needs.
    • Assist with special training projects, as needed.
    • Seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and performs other duties as assigned.
    • Prepares training data, audits course completions, and works with other departments to identify improvements in data quality and enterprise training consistency.
    • Creates and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies that help users and administrators utilize the system properly.
    • Partners with other departments including Apprenticeship and Skills Training to develop tracking mechanisms to identify and track employee training requirements and qualification statuses.
    • Maintains effective relationships with SRP leadership, employee’s and responsible department representatives to consult on training matrix reviews and other workforce training initiatives.
    • Recommends and leads the development of user experience (UX) enhancements for learning systems including the LMS, intranet sites and vendor training platforms.
    • Serve as internal project lead on the development of learning solutions and develop innovative, creative, and learner-centered development program materials including facilitator guides, participant manuals, and support materials using a variety of media.
    • Propose enhancements for ongoing development of L&D program, learning design, and delivery of learning workshops.
    • Keep abreast of industry best practices as well as emerging learning technologies and support systems resulting in the most effective and efficient solutions.
    • To ensure knowledge transfer, work with managers to identify learning/business outcomes before learning is in session and follow up post learning to ensure business results were realized.
    • Manage day-to-day administration of the LMS, providing end-user troubleshooting, issue remediation, technology assistance and escalation management;
    • Migrate and maintain content, assets, and other resources used for instructional functions related to the LMS. Maintain learning plans, notifications, and reporting;
    • Monitor reoccurring issues, system/data or process gaps and proactively identify potential sources of increased efficiency and enhancements;
    • Maintain the course catalog on all curricula data entered into the LMS to ensure integrity across all users;
    • Deploy eLearning and instructor-led courses within the LMS;
    • Test and perform quality assurance of content and other assets within the LMS;
    • Work with vendors/internal learning groups to maintain a regular schedule of learning offerings;
    • Collect and report feedback, such as learner feedback, evaluations, learning assessments and instructor evaluations for course updates and delivery enhancements;
    • Provide requested reports, queries, and metrics from the LMS for compliance;
    • Collaborate with the internal IT Department to provide LMS troubleshooting;
    • Set up and run webinars and virtual learning sessions;
    • Amend and revise materials to adapt to changes that occur;
    • Train and provide one-on-one coaching to employees and management on the use of the LMS, as appropriate;
    • Document departmental procedures, policies, and training;
    • Manage/market L&D course offerings on internal SharePoint site;
    • Assist with organizing and coordinating training program, including ordering supplies, meals, and other relevant items; and
    • Provide general administrative support of the department.
    • Delivering functional and technical support
    • Creating learning objects including online courses, events, sessions, curriculums, materials, videos and checklists with proper configuration based on system standards and governance
    • Creating test questions and exams and maintaining accuracy of test question database
    • Creating static and dynamic learning assignments with deep links and custom email configuration as needed
    • Analyzing user data to develop dynamic and static groups and determine opportunities to automate assignments
    • Building reports
    • Maintaining version control, updating content as needed and ensuring assignments are deployed appropriately to meet compliance standards
    • Working with the Quality Assurance team to ensure accurate creation and deployment of SOP training; assist with FDA audits as needed
    • Providing end-user trouble shooting and technical support and issue remediation via internal ticketing system
    • Resolving end-user problems quickly and ensure that training content is running without interruption and that a quality end-user experience is maintained
    • Monitoring recurring issues and communicating to the Manager of Educational Resources; proactively identify potential sources of increased efficiency and enhancements
    • Managing local custom pages
    • Participating in quarterly software release meetings, discussing updates and new enhancements; test new feature functionality as directed
    • Working with the Training Content Specialist to audit content and make configuration and meta data updates as needed, (including language localization) to provide better customer experience
    • Participating in regular meetings with the Educational Resources team; working collaboratively to ensure LMS governance model is being followed and system is optimized

    Experience & Education

    The ideal candidate should possess the following:

    • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 2 years Financial Services or Learning & Development experience.
    • Learning Management Systems (LMS) experience working as an LMS administrator or analyst preferred. SAP SuccessFactors LMS preferred. Learning Management System (LMS) administration background preferred
    • 1 year project management experience preferred.
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues;
    • Experience with web conferencing software (Teams, Zoom, WebEx);
    • Familiarity with adult learning design and development;
    • Ability to work independently, have a high degree of accountability and accuracy of work;
    • Action-oriented, customer-focused and possess learning agility;
    • Excellent organizational and written skills;
    • Technical savviness, with proficiency in standard Office 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word);
    • Strong attention to detail; and
    • Professional written and verbal communication

    • Experience with SCORM and other LMS content elements. Experience with iSpring and/or EasyGenerator preferred.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Experience with online learning management systems and e-learning, course authoring software is preferred;
    • Experience with online learning management systems and e-learning, course authoring software is preferred;
    • Assist subject matter experts with course design, learning approaches, learning outcomes, quality and format of learning materials, and best practices for adult learning.
    • Coordinate existing and new learning curriculum, both internal and vendor-provided, with global Learning & Development partners to ensure consistent and equitable offerings globally.
    • Work with the Office of DEI to support DEI-related learning opportunities.
    • With the Director, OD, manage the relationship with the sales training vendor; propose new curriculum relevant to the sales, editorial, and marketing teams; maintain and promote a recommended sales training plan for sales employees; and support the team of internal certified facilitators, including the “right” number of trainers, certification in the various offerings, and scheduling.
    • With the Director, OD, create and implement ongoing campaign regarding Sage Learn to keep employees excited and informed, including monthly announcements and reminders, special learning events, and external learning opportunities supported by Sage.
    • Experience supporting users in multiple departments; ability to work cross-functionally throughout a global organization

    • Writes and maintains procedures and policies to ensure the security and integrity of systems/networks.
    • Writes and maintains technical procedures and policy documentation.
    • Collaborates with key stakeholders on opportunities to increase LMS engagement.
    • Acts as an internal consultant by gathering requirements, analyzing data and recommending solutions to utilize the LMS to deliver, track training and measure performance to meet organizational objectives.
    • Creates and updates resources to train and support learners on how to use the technology for online and professional development.

    User Management

    • Oversees the management of user structures including the creation of user groups and learning audiences.
    • Monitors the HRIS user data feed and works with the IT support teams to make any necessary data or format updates.

    Content Management

    • Works with key stakeholders and Content Vendor Teams to develop and manage the course asset library.
    • Develops and updates standardized tools and reporting for ongoing access to learning information; generates standard and custom reports.
    • Analyzes reporting data and recommends strategic direction to Talent Management team and other stakeholders.
    • Creates and manages the overall course structure and sets up course programs based on specifications from stakeholders.
    • Manages tracking of course revisions and history.
    • Manages relationship with third party vendor; e.g. SkillSoft and facilitates the successful linkage of third party vendors courses to the Global Payments LMS (SumTotal).

    Troubleshooting

    • Troubleshoots and resolves issues relating to system access, content and functionality. Serves as a point of escalation for support issues, which may include interaction with LMS vendors and other support services.

    Additional Information

    • Familiarity with SuccessFactors Learning LMS or other LMS preferred
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Power BI preferred
    • Desire to research and learn new skills preferred

    • 5+ years experience in an LMS administrator or similar role

    • Demonstrated analytical skills in troubleshooting and identifying root causes as well as corrective and preventative actions.
    • Superior communications skills, both written and oral.

    • Demonstrated ability to maintain flexibility in a changing environment.
    • Ability to maintain confidential customer, team member and organizational information in a responsible and secure manner.
    • Must be able to travel 5%.
