    Collaborates with subject matter experts to design, develop and implement finance related training and development programs for Yale university staff. Designs innovative learning solutions which can include classroom training, e-learning, lunch & learn, webinars, etc. Recommends effective learning solutions for different topics. Engages in program coordination, design, logistics management and adherence. Conducts research on professional and academic organizations to identify training and development best practices for finance training program development. Collects and analyzes data to assess program effectiveness and provide recommendations for future actions. Ensures content is up to date and in alignment with current university policies, programs, and procedures. Understands and works regularly with Yale’s learning management system in support of the successful implementation of finance training and in adherence with university learning standards.

    Essential Duties

    1. Design, develop and deliver learning and development programs for Finance staff through various modalities including instructor led classes, Webinars, eLearning, small group facilitation, self-directed reference materials.2. Apply instructional design (ADDIE) methodology when developing and delivering learning programs. Design eLearning outlines, project plans and storyboards as needed.3. Build relationships with business unit leaders, managers, and subject matter experts when initiating the creation of a learning program and during the closure or follow-up phase.4. Apply project management skills to oversee timelines, key deliverables, and monitor risks during the development and implementation of training programs.5. Develop and utilize metrics to identify organizational trends, perform data analysis, develop strategies and measure progress.6. Ensure programs are maintained up to date in learning management system and determine appropriate assignment/distribution of training courses and curriculum. 7. Manage and maintain the Finance Training website.8. Other duties as assigned.

    Required Education and Experience

    Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organization Development, or related field and three (3) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Required Skill/Ability 1:

    Demonstrated ability developing training using instructional design methods and the adult learning theory.

    Required Skill/Ability 2:

    Demonstrated ability designing and developing elearning using authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Storyboard, Adobe Captivate, etc.

    Required Skill/Ability 3:

    Demonstrated ability developing training content using Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, Word, etc.

    Required Skill/Ability 4:

    Demonstrated ability to collaborate with employees at all levels, partnering effectively with subject matter experts and sponsors to develop training. Ability to work both independently, as well as part of a broader team.

    Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

    Experience designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating finance related training. Familiarity using Excel in spreadsheet development, metrics analysis, etc. Experience in an academic learning environment.
