Job Description
Researches, designs, develops, edits, and maintains instructional documentation and training materials for instructor-led and self-paced learning activities, including eLearning and other digital learning. Capable of leading a team of other learning team members, and coaching others on instructional design approaches. Engages project team and stakeholders to define training program goals and objectives, complete audience analysis, and obtain approval of final training deliverables. Conducts scoping and needs assessment for new learning requests projects plans.
Experience
- 5 or more years of experience in training design and development
- Demonstrated experience leading training projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated expert application and understanding of instructional design, adult learning principles, learning methodologies, and organizational development techniques
- Experience with digital enterprise collaboration tools (e.g. OneDrive, etc.)
- Working knowledge of eLearning content authoring tools and processes
- Experience with using learning management systems (LMS)
- Demonstrated experience with learning and performance consulting
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Instructional Systems, Instructional Design, Learning and Development, Education or related field
- ATD certification (e.g. CPTD)
- Articulate 360 Rise and Storyline experience.
Education
- Experience using eLearning content authoring tools. (Articulate 360 suite, Adobe Creative Cloud products, etc.)
- EMR/Epic training and development experience

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in writing original content and editing legacy materials

Job Responsibilities
- Researches, designs, develops, edits, and maintains instructional content via multiple modalities consistent with adult learning principles (e.g., eLearning, tip sheets, instructor-led training, etc.).
- Develops learning experiences and programs with well-defined learning objectives that are aligned with business performance goals.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts and stakeholders at all levels and disciplines across the organization to develop educational content.
- Provides training project management for initiatives that are medium-to-large scale and/or medium-to-large scope in complexity.
- Reviews evaluation data to assess the effectiveness of training programs and implements recommendations for improvements.
- Facilitates train-the-trainer classes, superuser classes, and/or end-user classes as needed.
- Develops communication strategies for training programs.
- Utilizes standard content production techniques (e.g. ADDIE) to design, develop and deliver learning content, including digital learning.
- Conducts comprehensive training needs assessments for various learning requests and needs to determine gaps and define training objectives, audience needs, and recommend learning solutions.
- Develops and executes training plans aligned with organizational initiatives and business performance goals.
- Combines instructional design principles, advanced adult-learning theory, and technology to design and develop innovative solutions for large-scale training projects.
- Researches and evaluates emerging learning technologies and approaches.
- Leads multiple training projects simultaneously.
