We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Internal Power System/Digital Technical Trainer to join our team. This position is responsible for creating, maintaining, and delivering training content for the Power Systems Project Engineering team in NAM to enhance their knowledge and skills in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and Automation. The ideal candidate is well-versed in creating training content that is engaging, interactive, and fun. In this role you will have major influence on the storyboard, the overall design, and the organization of learning content, so experience with Instructional Design and Adult Learning Theories is highly desired. Your expertise in PLC systems, Communication Protocols, Automation and Controls, and strong communication skills will be instrumental in equipping our workforce with the necessary technical proficiency to excel in their roles.
What will you do?
- Produce and maintain the relevant eLearning video content and other training formats for Project Engineering by applying sound instructional design methodology using various authoring tools.
- Develop and deliver training programs to upskill our teams on Power System Solutions which include PLC programming, communication protocols, Automation, troubleshooting, and maintenance for ETO Low and Medium Voltage Equipment.
- Will work with Project Engineering to deliver and maintain comprehensive training solutions.
- This training role will develop the best learning solutions and administer them via classroom setting, web-based learning, and blended/hybrid learning.
- Develop and maintain the employee training curriculum and execute this against a cohesive training plan.
- Establish and track the metrics needed to monitor training effectiveness.
- Provide training on new offers and product changes as needed.
- Assist engineering tools, software, and product design training efforts.
- Coordinate training requirements for Global entities as needed.
- Manage and coordinate the engineering Mentorship/Buddy program.
- Engage with the quality team to identify engineering design barrier opportunities and develop targeted training to address the knowledge gap.
- This training position should be a subject matter expert and is required to stay current with the technology in his/her domain.

- Experience with Modbus communications, utility metering, and circuit monitoring applications.
- Familiarity with Modbus and TCP/IP communications protocols, RS-485, Ethernet and other third party interfaces.
