Assess, design and develop technical, system and/or professional development curriculum content. Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
CURRICULUM DESIGN: Partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to conceptualize training design, content, and delivery methodology. Define curriculum learning objectives and course outline utilizing adult learning principles and best practices, design participant and facilitator materials, skills practice activities, knowledge and skills assessments, and safety and human performance tools.
FRONT END and TASK ANALYSIS: Conduct front-end analysis to determine business needs and solution recommendations. Complete a detailed analysis of each task to be trained/ supported for target audience, business process, and systems.
DEVELOP CONTENT: Facilitate SME/LOB meetings including, Task Analysis, Alpha, Beta and Answer Validation meetings, ongoing content validation and lessons learned meetings. Deve l op content and assessments to support the course objectives. Use instructional design principles, best practices, and incorporate multimedia to design best-in-class course materials. Advise and consult with Curriculum Development and Curriculum Delivery teams to ensure the appropriate amount of interactivity is included in the learning solution, and to demonstrate creativity, flexibility, and innovation in learning solution proposal and design recommendations.
EVALUATE TRAINING EFFECTIVENESS: Document key learnings as the learning solution progresses to ensure a continuous improvement model. Monitor learning effectiveness and communicate impact.
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT : Identifies problems and opportunities for improving and simplifying the content development and review process
QUALITY ASSURANCE : Ensure the use of established standards tools and templates and guidelines for curriculum development. Facilitate the required stakeholder reviews and ensure that comments are integrated into final solution and approved by initiative sponsor.
METRICS & KPI TRACKING : Tracks Metrics and Key Performance Indicators to provide information on training effectiveness
PERFORMANCE CONSULTING : Provides client assistance in identifying performance gaps, designing solutions, implementation of solutions, and evaluation of programs.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $ 78,000
Bay Area Maximum: $ 116,000

California Minimum: $ 74,000
California Maximum: $110,000
Responsibilities:
Conduct needs analysis, design curriculum and develop training content and materials utilizing various training tools, methods, approaches and tactics within PG&E’s quality standards.
Provide input regarding learning solution and estimate of work.
Collaborate and consult with project partners and stakeholders to design and develop learning solutions that reinforce business goals and best practices.
Facilitate content development sessions with subject matter experts and stakeholders, under the guidance of more experienced learning professional.
Identify key metrics for measuring training effectiveness, aligning training results with business goals and metrics.
Manage time and tasks and escalate challenges appropriately.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Liberal Arts, or related degree / field, or equivalent work experience
3 or more years of Instructional Design or Communications or Teaching or Training, Change Management, or Graphic Design work experience is required
Desired Qualifications:
eLearning design and development experience.
A strong working knowledge of instructional design for both classroom and eLearning environments.
Working knowledge of the following applications/systems is preferred: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate Suite, AuthorIt
Ability to facilitate and guide conversations with Subject Matter Experts
