    As a Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist, you’ll be responsible for crafting and executing specialized training programs meticulously tailored to meet the specific business goals. This role serves as an essential indirect extension of the Distribution organization, assisting via a learning lens, resulting in the achievement of the Business’s goals. The role encompasses a spectrum of responsibilities ranging from the insightful analysis of training necessities to the adept delivery of curated programs. In partnership with a variety of departments, Learning Specialist collaborate, design, develop, and execute on programming and projects that supports the company’s goals.

    With a focus on versatility and innovation in instructional methodologies, L&D Specialist will employ a diverse array of teaching aids and approaches, including individual and group instructions, workshops, and multimedia visual aids, ensuring a rich and engaging learning experience. The role lies in fostering strong internal relationships, facilitating a constructive exchange of feedback and insights for the refinement of course materials and instructional strategies. Additionally, actively assisting employees in task-specific issues and continuously seeking avenues for enhancing operational efficacy are also in scope.

    In this role, you’ll get to:
    Develop, implement, and deliver training programs for individuals and group instruction within assigned line of business.
    Coordinate training schedules and develop project plans with the assigned department.
    Formulate teaching outline and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
    Select or develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works.
    Conduct training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, etc.
    Assist employees with problems concerning “how to” perform specific tasks related to their positions.
    Make suggestions on improving work procedures.
    Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders to develop course materials and receive feedback.
    Lead and coordinate training efforts with vendor partners to align company programming.

    We’re looking for people who have:
    Minimum of 3 to 5+ years insurance industry experience required.
    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
    FINRA SIE and Series 6 is strongly preferred; however, must obtain both within six months of employment.
    Must possess a strong understanding of annuity products, including fixed, variable, and indexed annuities, with the ability to educate and provide guidance on these products as part of our training initiatives.
    Basic knowledge of adult learning principles.
    In-Person, Virtual, and Hybrid facilitation skills for effective training delivery.
    Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey information effectively to a variety of audiences.
    Demonstrated basic project management skills with the ability to plan, identify, coordinate, and track critical activities, milestones, and deliverables.
    Demonstrates executive presence to inspire others and make smart decisions by virtue of their composure, talent, and maturity.
    Ability to deliver effective and engaging presentations to a variety of audiences, by transmitting the message with clarity; interacting/engaging the audience; and interpreting and understanding the mindsets of the listeners knowing the audience.
    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
    Preferred knowledge of eLearning software and possess LMS system capabilities.
