    Role Summary:

    Reporting to the Sr Manager of Learning Experience Design & Technology, the Sr. Learning Experience Designer will play a key role in designing and developing scalable learning experiences For Rivian’s key programs.
    As a member of the Enterprise Learning and Development Team, this role will work collaboratively across the organization to deliver innovative and quality learning experiences that transcend traditional eLearning, video, guides, ILT, and virtual learning courses. This will require managing stakeholders at various levels, ruthless prioritization, flexibility, strong graphic design skills and project management skills.
    The ideal candidate has deep expertise in visual storytelling, adult learning principles and experience developing within learning technologies. You have practical experience and application of learning development models to deliver experiences that will elevate our Employee Development programs, along with supporting graphic design, video and elearning program needs across Rivian.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work under ambiguity delivering tools, templates and resources utilizing a self service model approach to drive self operation for all employees
    • Support graphic design requests that simplifies the learning experiences and meets brand standards
    • Develop C suite PowerPoint presentations
    • Design, develop, implement, and maintain learner-centric content using effective instructional design methodologies and technologies
    • Full-cycle ownership of blended learning solutions
    • Create learning briefs outlining learning strategy, course objectives, content, assessment, and evaluation criteria
    • Organize and assist in developing learning manuals, pre-work, and course evaluation procedures
    • Partner and consult with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding the most effective way to solve a learning need
    • Scope adhoc learning requests and make recommendations that solve business needs
    • Introduce new Generative AI tools to drive efficiency and consistency across learning programs

    Qualifications:

    • 7+ years of instructional design and digital learning design experience supporting a corporate learning function. Global experience is a plus
    • 3+ years graphic design experience
    • Experience using industry standard learning methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, CRI, etc.) to design learning programs for various levels of employees and leaders
    • Highly proficient with eLearning and video authoring software (Articulate Storyline and Rise, Camtasia, etc.)
    • Highly proficient with publishing tools and software applications (MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
    • Proven track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, strong attention to detail, and managing multiple projects simultaneously
    • Works well in virtually connected, fast-paced, and oftentimes ambiguous environments
    • Experience creating and editing video and media content (Camtasia, Final Cut Pro, or similar software) a plus
    • Experience developing content for deployment in a learning management system
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Instructional Design or Education is a plus

    Pay Disclosure:

    Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $107,000 – $123,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
    Salary Range for Colorado Based Applicants: $102,000 – $118,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
    Salary Range for New York Based Applicants: $116,000 – $134,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
    Salary Range for Washington Based Applicants: $107,000 – $123,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
    Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
