About the Role
Sellers Dorsey is seeking a Senior Learning and Development Consultant who has the ability to use multiple technologies and drive a variety of projects assisting Subject Matter Experts and staff in Client Servicing and Corporate area. The Senior Learning and Development Consultant will play a pivotal role in the organization’s talent development initiatives. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Learning and Development, this role is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and managing learning and development programs that align with the Firm’s Client Services goals and objectives. Expertise in Medicaid, adult learning principles, instructional design, and talent development will contribute to the growth and success of our workforce. This role is responsible for creating and implementing talent management programs in the areas of Medicaid, politics and healthcare analysis. This role acts as an internal consultant to leaders and other key stakeholders to bring innovative solutions in support of the creation of high-performing teams and to increase organizational effectiveness. This role will analyze and address disconnections between job performance, job tasks and Medicaid knowledge. The role is accountable for working cross-functionally to thoughtfully expand Sellers Dorsey existing Medicaid learning content in line with the Firms capabilities. Analytical and strategic cross-functional L&D capability is critical to success in this position. Sellers Dorsey is looking for a professional who can get in the weeds while not missing the big picture. The successful candidate will thrive in the face of ambiguity and demonstrate curiosity about Medicaid and program regulations and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- In partnership with the Associate Director, develop and create training based on feedback from the Practice Leaders in the firm and Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Working with SME’s, leverage a variety of learning development tools to develop and deliver training that utilizes a blended learning approach, including instructor-led, Web-based, e-learning, and user guides, job aids.
- Leverage the ADDIE/SAM instructional design framework to design effective learning solutions which are learner-centered, organized, accurate, relevant, and engaging.
- Maintain, update, improve and deliver existing content as needed in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Partner with the Associate Director of Learning and Development to evaluate program engagement and effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources or Health Policy.
- 5+ years of experience designing and delivering Web-based training in a corporate environment.
- 2+ years of experience working in an instructional design or curriculum developer role.
- Experience delivering Medicaid training program is a real plus.
- Intermediate Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills.
- Proficient in Articulate Storyline and Rise or other eLearning development platforms.
Other Requirements
- Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Understanding legal language and principles, research methods, processes, and other related matters.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration, and listening skills and drives for results individually and in a team setting.
- Experience in building engaging blended learning programs and tools.
- Ability to engage stakeholders and SMEs in analyzing training needs.
- Able to provide work samples.
