Instruction Designer Job

The Training Instructional Systems Designer/Developer will plan, analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate training courseware to support internal and customer training program requirements.
The Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) may be involved in any or all parts of the Planning, Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (P-ADDIE) processes. The ISD will partner with a broad range of technical personnel and must be able to understand technical requirements, standards, specifications, etc. The ISD will be required to analyze operation or maintenance procedures of an organization/program and identify training required to help optimize performance. The ISDs responsibility will be to strategically design and develop informational content in a required training product format to facilitate learning.
The selected candidate:

• Will adhere to approved style guides and the Aegis FMS Command Media ISD Plan that documents training policy and standards
• Will be involved in all parts of the Planning, Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (P-ADDIE) process for a variety of training projects and training scenarios to ensure the effective development of sound courseware content to meet the customer’s needs
• Will apply instructional design best practices for institutional training, training materials, and sustainment training
• Must be a proven self-starter with an ability to interact effectively with military, industry, and academic partners
• Must be capable of multi-tasking, working within deadlines, and smoothly transition between various projects Must have excellent writing and editing skills to assist with the production of work instructions and quality check the work of others
• Must have excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work with programmers, graphic artists, and subject matter experts
• Must be proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience applying ISD principles and best practices to design, develop, implement a multitude of training products:

o Instructor Guides
o Student Guides
o Instructor-Led Training Packages
o Interactive Courseware (ICW)
o Supplemental Teaching Materials
o Procedural Job Aids
o Work Instructions
o Other multimedia training products.

• Experience applying adult learning theory, training principles, and techniques to training development
• Experience applying ADDIE process to training projects to ensure development of sound products to meet customer requirements and needs
• Experience handling multiple tasks simultaneously to meet assigned deadlines
• Experience applying writing, editing, and proofreading skills to training development
• Experience using the Adobe Photoshop
• Experience with Multi-Media Design Architecture and eLearning standards including Interactivity Level 2 & 3, SCORM, and Web environments
• Strong interpersonal and teaming skills.
• Requires a Secret clearance

Desired Skills:

• Experience analyzing and designing interactive multimedia instruction
• Experience using Unity, Articulate Storyline
• Experience using Learning Content Management System (LCMS) as a developer as well as, other tools for development and distribution of training/courseware
• Experience using Microsoft .Net (Visual Basic and C#)
• Experience using HTML, PHP, JavaScript, MySQL database
• Experience developing Job Aids using Adobe Captivate.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
