    As Learning & Development (L&D) Manager, you will manage a team of 4 while also implementing and administering high quality training programs for operational and non-operational learning programs across all business units at United Auto Credit Corporation (UACC). This role requires project management skills as you will manage L&D projects from cradle to grave. As Manager, you will focus on training coordination, scoping of learning solutions to meet business needs, assisting with curriculum development and delivery of training. You will play a significant role in the training and development of a successful and effective L&D team.

    Base Salary: $92,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year

    Work Location: In person

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate effectively with operational teams, PMO, subject matter experts (SMEs) and others on the UACC teams to support department training programs and initiatives.
    • Demonstrate understanding of business needs and drive key L&D initiatives and strategic processes by partnering with business leaders across the organization.
    • Implement, coordinate and schedule training.
    • Apply adult learning principles to design and develop training that best fits the needs of the audience and content (online, classroom, or blended learning methods).
    • Monitor all assessment, survey, and operational data and perform ongoing needs analysis.
    • Coach and reinforce associate and leadership learning.
    • Actively participate in business and L&D projects and drive effective results.
    • Provide change leadership directly and/or indirectly to support the roll-out of new initiatives, projects, re-organization, etc.
    • Ensure knowledge of and adherence to all Company, Federal, and State laws and regulations applicable to the consumer lending industry.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Demonstrated ability to navigate and excel in a corporate environment, including proficiency in:

    • Managing a team.
    • Administering and managing new hire training programs, continuing education programs, or similar training and development projects/initiatives.
    • Developing job aids, online tutorials and/or other training materials.
    • Delivering excellent communication skills and editing for the purpose of knowledge transfer and skill development; this includes skill in collaborating with subject matter experts and managers to help write and develop content.
    • Displaying excellent coordination, project management, and organization skills.
    • Ability to use multiple learning methods and link appropriate methods with the subject at Hand.

    Education/Experience:

    • Compliance knowledge training required.
    • 3+ years of web based and in person software, management operations, and customer service training experience is required.
    • 3+ years of experience creating and updating coursework is required.
    • 3+ years of experience using eLearning creation software (such as Captivate), graphic creation software (such as Photoshop), and Learning Management Systems.
    • Formal training or education in Adult Learning, Human Performance Technology, Instructional Design, Training Delivery, and/or Training Evaluation is highly desirable.
    • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, not required.

    Supervisory Responsibility:

    • Coach and develop a team of Learning and Development professionals.

    Computer Skills:

    • Experience with MS Office applications and Google Suite is required.
    • Experience using eLearning creation software (such as Captivate), graphic creation software (such as Photoshop), and Learning Management Systems is required.

    Certificates and Licenses:

    • Instructional Design preferred, not required.
    • Trainer/Facilitator Certification preferred, not required.
