    FedEx Sales University (Sales U) serves as the business school for Sales by enabling relevant, continuous growth and learning in a flexible, on-demand environment. Sales education is focused on performance improvement through segment specific learning journeys, competency-based education, and a learning and coaching culture.

    This position is ideal for a professional with formal Instructional Design education and/or ID work experience. The successful candidate will design and implement continuous learning for the Sales organization. The Sr. Solutions Specialist will be responsible for project management, working with stakeholders, designing, delivering, and maintaining Sales education programs via eLearning platforms as well as leading virtual and in-person learning experiences. Additionally, this position will assess organizational training needs, the success of education programs, and continually enhance content to ensure programs remain relevant and effective.

    Under general supervision, this person will:

    • Develop and implement strategies in support of the selling roles and corporate initiatives appropriate to the Sales teams, create digital content, and understand professional development needs
    • Empower professionals to execute by ensuring internal organizational buy-in, leverage innovative corporate education practices, and translate business strategy to actionable plans and learning experiences
    • Help drive complex business solutions by coordinating expertise, defining scope, delivery and deployment timelines for education solutions
    • Define actionable plans for change programs
    • Create communications for program readiness and rollout
    • Assess the effectiveness and impact of education solutions and communicate the results to stakeholders and leadership. The ideal candidate will have excellent project management, writing, instructional design, presentation, and communication skills. The successful candidate will also excel in strategic thinking, problem solving, building relationships, and presenting content to stakeholders of all levels.

    Knowledge, Skills and Expectations

    • Create and facilitate learning experiences: Create, manage, and deliver engaging online courses, virtual and in-person workshops from concept through development, quality control, and implementation
    • Sales learning/development, competencies, and coaching: build trust with learners in a hybrid environment, connect performance expectations to strategic outcomes and design relevant education focused on behaviors and results
    • Project management: Organize and coordinate professional education programs from concept to implementation, develop and control deadlines and activities, assess programs and engage in continuous improvement
    • Change management: Apply structured approaches to shift individuals, teams, and organizations from a current state to a desired state
    • Adapt to change and shift gears comfortably, open to new ideas and new responsibilities, will take the initiative to resolve issues and problems when they arise
    • Collaborate across departmental teams to develop impactful learning experiences
    • Work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment and respond quickly to market changes and the Sales organization development needs
    • Use technical design, development, and creative skills to create engaging online content and engage course participants.
    • Use a variety of applications to build eLearning courses and instructor led resources.
    • Create engaging and interactive learning experiences including scenarios, simulations, and games.

    Skills/Knowledge considered a plus:

    • Instructional design education/experience
    • Corporate education and development: experience delivering training / education, virtual and in-person instruction and facilitation
    • Executive presence
    • Expertise in adult learning principles, learning theory, learning styles and group processes · Innovative strategies to course design and learning experiences
    • Experience in eLearning design and development
    • Story telling/presenting with visual content
    • Identify emergent trends and opportunities for corporate education · Microsoft Office suite
    • eLearning design, development, and LMS experience
    • Virtual and in-person instruction and facilitation

    Travel may be required.

    This position is currently located in Memphis, TN

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s Degree/equivalent. Three (3)years professional business experience in project management, sales, learning and development, education, communications including writing and editing, content management, creative development or quantitative analysis. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements. Strong relationship building, strategic partnering, research/analysis, project/program management, and communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Ability to innovate and produce high quality results on a consistent basis.
